ಕನ್ನಡ ಎನೆ ಕುಣಿದಾಡುವುದೆನ್ನೆದೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಎನೆ ಕಿವಿ ನಿಮಿರುವುದು ಕಾಮನಬಿಲ್ಲನು ಕಾಣುವ ಕವಿಯೊಳು ತೆಕ್ಕನೆ ಮನ ಮೈ ಮರೆಯುವುದು ಕನ್ನಡ ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಾ ಸವಿಗನ್ನಡ ಬಾಳುವುದೇತಕೆ ನುಡಿ ಎಲೆ ಜೀವ ಸಿರಿಗನ್ನಡದಲಿ ಕವಿತೆಯ ಹಾಡೆ ಸಿರಿಗನ್ನಡದೇಳಿಗೆಯನು ನೋಡೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ತಾಯಿಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮಾಡೆ.. -ಕುವೆಂಪು

ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೂ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡ್ತವಾ ??? ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಷಃ ಇದು ಸಕಾಲ . ಟಿವಿ , ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳು ಹಠಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರು ವಂತೆ ’ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ತತ್ವ ’ ಗಳನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ತೂರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ . ಇದೇ ಥೀಮ್ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹುಡುಕಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರೆ ಉತ್ತರ ’ ಹೌದು ’ ಎಂದೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ . ಈಗಿನ ರಿಯಾಲಿಟಿ ಷೋಗಳನ್ನು , ’ ಭಯಾನಕ , ವಿಸ್ಮಯ , ನಿಗೂಢ , ಹಾಗೂ ಅಗೋಚರ ...’ ಎಂದು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕುರಿಮಂದೆಯಂತೆ ಮರುಳು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಗಳು ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತವೆ . ಅಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಈ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಈಗ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾದರೂ ಯಾಕೆ ? ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ , ಯೋಗರಾಜಭಟ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ , ಜಯಂತ ಕಾಯ್ಕಿಣಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಬರೆದು , ಮನೊಮೂರ್ತಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ಒದಗಿಸಿರುವ ’ ಮನಸಾರೆ ’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ರಿವ್ಯೂ ನೋಡಿ , ಚಿತ್ರ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಲ್ಲ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ಜರೂರು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾವಂತರ್ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ಅನಿಸದೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ . ’ ಮನಸಾರೆ ’ ಎಂಬ ಹುಚ್ಚರ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಮುದ್ರಣ , ದೃಶ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಭಾರಿ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ನೀಡಿದವು ; ಇನ್ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಬರೆದವು . ಇದೊಂದು ಪ್ರೇಮಕಾವ್ಯ , ಚೆಂದ...
‘ಮನಸಾರೆ’ ಹೇಳ್ತೀನಿ.. ಇದೊಂದು ಐಲು-ಪೈಲು ಚಿತ್ರ
ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ‘ಬೊಬ್ಬೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಗಿ ಬೀಳುವಂತೆ ಶತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಅತ್ತ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ತಗೊಂಡು ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡೋ ವೀಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ತಲೆ ಚಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೊಂದೆ ಬಾಕಿ... ಇದು ಭಟ್ಟರ ಬಹು(ಹುಸಿ)ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ’ಮನಸಾರೆ’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಒನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ ನ್ಯೂಸ್‌. ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದ (ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ) ಮನಸಾರೆ ಚಿತ್ರ ತೋಪೇಳುವುದು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಎನಿಸ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಭಿಮಾನಿ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೀಡಿಸುವ ಯಾವ ಚಿತ್ರವೂ ಅದೇನೆ ಬೊಬ್ಬೆ ಹಾಕಿದರೂ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ’ಮನಸಾರೆ’ಗೂ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಲಾಜಿಕ್‌ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹರಿಯುವ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಯ ಝರಿ, ಪೋಲಿ ಪೋಲಿ ಡೈಲಾಗ್‌ಗಳು, ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯತೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಧುತ್ತನೆ ಎದುರಾಗುವ ಹಾಡು, ಒಂದು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಸುತ್ತ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಬಹುತೇಕ ರೀಲ್‌ ಮುಗಿಸುವ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ, ಕಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಎಮ್ಮೆ ಎಳೆದಾಡುವಂತೆ ’ಕಾಮನಬಿಲ್ಲಿನ’ ಸುತ್ತವೇ ವೀಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಎಳೆದಾಡಿಸುವ ಕಥೆ, ಹಿರೋಯಿನ್‌ನ ಕೂದಲು ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡೆ ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆಯುವ ಹೀರೋ, ಒಂದು ಕಟ್ಟಡವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಕೋನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಯೋಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾಮನ್‌, ಚೆಂದದ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವಿದ್ದೂ ಸಂಗೀತದ ಅಬ್ಬರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಸವಿಯನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡುವ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ.... ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ಮನಸಾರೆ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನೆಗೆಟಿವ್‌ ಹೈಲೈಟ್‌ಗಳು. ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಚೆಂದದ ಥೀಮ್ ಇದೆ; ಮನೋರೋಗಿಗಳ ಮನದಾಳವನ್ನ...
Artificial Retina Can Restore Sight to the Blind
An artificial retina could restore sight to the blind, according to new research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The device can be plugged directly into the optic nerve and is based on widely used cochlear implants. The artificial retina is designed to help people with advanced macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosa, progressive diseases that permanently blind patients, usually older patients. Some drugs can delay the process, but once the cells that detect light (rods) and color (cones) die, they are gone. The nerves behind the rods and cones do survive, however. For a patient to see again, something needs to stimulate the nerves. A mild electrical charge, applied using a self-contained, surgically implanted device could stimulate the optical nerves and allow a person to see again.

The following precautions are to be taken care of when playing with Fireworks.
"Let this diwali burn all your bad times and enter you in good times...." 1.Store water in at least two buckets and keep it ready near the place of fireworks celebrations. 2.Keep a wet towel ready to cover your exposed parts when some crackers may accidentally burst in the face. 3.Keep the regulators of your cooking gas cylinders turned off and do not keep the cylinders in balconies or open spaces to keep them protected from stray rockets. 4.Put earplugs (or cotton wool) in your ears. 5.Wear cotton clothes while playing with fireworks. Wear full undergarments to be on the safe side to protect your skin. 6.Keep small portable extinguishers handy for urgent use. 7.Keep the telephone numbers of fire, ambulance, police etc stored on your cells and by the telephone. 8.Use proper directions when handling fireworks.
